You won’t want to miss a beat of illustrious DJ, Theo Kottis, a favorite fixture on the Scottish clubbing circuit. Kottis curated and produced ‘Beautiful Strangers,’ a concept that included production, music design, and artwork which is considered to be a shining light among his peers. ‘Beautiful Strangers’ was hosted alongside the massively popular bi-annual FLY Open Air festival, which takes place on the grounds of the renowned Edinburgh Castle. It features only the greatest house and techno DJs. Here Kottis worked alongside DJ heroes Kerri Chandler, Henrik Schwar, and Move D & Hammer thus solidifying himself as one of the most prominent and versatile DJs on the scene, both in the United Kingdom and internationally. Kottis has held residencies at Glasgow’s Sub Club, the longest-running underground dance club in the world, and the FLY Club at Cabaret Voltaire, which has been the premier club at the forefront of Scotland’s electronic music scene and club culture for almost a decade. Thanks to his ability to adapt his sets to a variety of moods and locations, he is consistently tipped by DJ legends around the globe. There appears to be no stopping Theo Kottis as he continues to set the stage on fire. He is signed to Permanent Vacation Records and has been featured on their “Radio On Vacation” series. Fresh off remixing “Beam Me Up” and his newest residency at Forum Birmingham, a venue that has been a beacon for the city’s musical culture and heritage since the 1960s, he always delivers a high-octane mix in his quintessential Kottis style. He has an ever-growing following with over 130,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, and he maintains an impressive social media presence boasting over 30,500 followers across platforms.
