80’s pop sensation Nocera shot to stardom in 1986 when her smash hit ‘Summertime Summertime’ reached No 1 on the Billboard dance, pop and R&B charts and lit up the airwaves across the U.S.A. A leading proponent of the late 1980’s freestyle electro-pop, Nocera, along with Shannon, The Cover Girls and Pretty Poisen brought this exciting new style of 80’s pop music to the radios and cassette players of 1980’s America. Playing legendary 80’s clubs such as Roseland, Area, The Saint, the Palladium Roxy, Copacabana and Studio 54 Nocera was renowned for her energetic live performances and unique voice. Nocera’s follow up release, 1987’s ‘Let’s Go’, written by Peitor Angell and remixed by Little Louie Vega became an MTV hit for its delicately choreographed video; the single reached No 7 on the Hot Dance/Club Play chart. ‘Let’s Go’ was closely followed by the release of her full-length studio album: Over the Rainbow. After her phenomenal chart success, she performed backing vocals for the highly influential freestyle acts Sa Fire, India and Information Society and toured extensively with Information Society as a keyboard player and backing vocalist. Always one to move with the times, she contributed to the trip-hop craze of the early ’00s when she teamed up with guitarist Gregg Fine and keyboard player John Roggie, the band’s blend of hip-hop infused Acid Jazz earned them an underground cult following. As well as singing and playing the keyboards, Nocera is also renowned for her eclectic DJ sets, and she continues to sell out internationally renowned stadiums such as the Greek Theatre in Lost Angeles.
