Mis-Teeq are the sensationally popular girl group that released three top-ten, double-platinum albums and seven consecutive top-ten singles during their six-year reign of the charts. Made up of Alesha Dixon, Sabrina Washington and Su-Elise Nash, the group were pop pioneers, breaking into a male-dominated scene as three young girls with a fresh new sound and a bold attitude. Blending the underground vibes of UK garage with a pop-focused R&B flavour, their music defined the sound of the turn of the millennium and subsequently influenced countless later acts. Their amazing debut album, ‘Lickin’ On Both Sides’, went double Platinum, selling over 600,000 copies in the U.K., hitting No. 2 in the album chart and prompting a global tour that took the group to Asia, Australia and the U.S. Mis-Teeq’s sophomore effort, ‘Eye Candy’, also going double Platinum, produced the iconic lead single ‘Scandalous’. Undoubtedly one of the biggest pop hits of the last 20 years, the single hit No. 2 in the U.K. and made the Top 10 in Ireland, New Zealand, and Australia. Eventually disbanding in 2005 following the release of a Greatest Hits record, the group embarked upon successful solo careers throughout the 00’s. Alesha, Sabrina and Su-Elise have reformed in 2018 to revive the sound of Mis-Teeq for a new generation.
