Belgian dance band, Lasgo, found international fame around the turn of the millennium with a string of infectious dance hits, including ‘Something’, which made number 4 in the UK, and ‘Alone’ which charted at number 7. They also enjoyed a hit album, with ‘Some Things’, which reached number 30 in the UK album charts. Lasgo achieved a string of awards across Europe, including International Dance Hit for ‘Something’, the European Border Breakers Award and were even named Smash Hits Best Dance Band in 2002. The group went on to US success, with the hit, ‘Surrender’ topping the Billboard Dance Chart in 2004. Following the departure of their original lead singer, Evi Goffin, in 2008, the band ran a televised search for a replacement, called ‘Let’s Go Lasgo’ finding the hugely talented Jelle van Dael along the way. The band has continued to record and perform, with two further albums, ‘Far Away’ and ‘Smile’ and a string of hits in their native Belgium. Lasgo have recently been on an epic dance battle tour, performing their high energy hits back to back with fellow Belgian dance outfit, Ian van Dahl.
