CHI-CHING CHING

Born in Kingston Jamaica, Radion Beckford (AKA Chi-Ching Ching) started his career as a professional street-dancer. By the turn of the millennium, he was taking part in regular performances, such as Early Mondays, Passa Passa, Weddy Weddy, Dutty Fridaze and Hot Monday. Ultimately, this line of work led Radion to be the successful recording artist he is today. After some time in the studio, Chi-Ching Ching’s first track, ‘Lock Pon Di Ting’ was dropped in 2014, shortly followed by ‘Popcorn Pop’. After Radion’s debut releases, he hit back in the summer with the feel-good tune ‘Elevate’, featuring fellow Caribbean artist, Gabbi Don. Today, Chi-Ching Ching is signed to Sean Paul’s record label, Dutty Rock Productions. It was under this label that he dropped perhaps his most loved single – ‘Rock Di World’. Featuring none other than Patoranking, Stonebwoy and Fatman Scoop, the track’s instant appeal grabbed the attention of video producer Kieran Khan. The resulting music video is one that celebrates Chi Ching Ching as a multitalented artist, with international appeal. The lyrics touch upon the dissolution of global barriers and in many ways, the song itself enacts this sentiment. Not only does Chi-Ching Ching collaborate with artists from around the world, but the track is also fusion of Afrobeat, Dancehall and pop music. With Radion’s next release right around the corner, his fans eagerly anticipate the release of his latest album. .
