British singer, Charlotte O’Connor, best known professionally as Charlotte OC, is also a songwriter. Charlotte OC first began her journey in music when she was 15 years of age. At the time, Charlotte OC also attended weekend classes at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. When Charlotte OC turned 16, she became a global ambassador for surfwear brand Quiksilver. Charlotte OC signed a contract with Sam Bush, an agent that secured her to a contract and arranged. Her first single Treasure Island was released in 2011. Later that year, Charlotte OC also released her debut album For Kenny, which was produced by Mario Caldato. In 2013, Charlotte OC signed a deal with Stranger Records. Through them, she released her first extended play, Colour My Heart. BBC classed Charlotte OC as tipped for success. Charlotte OC was also named by Digital Spy as one to watch. She released her second EP with Polydor Records in 2014, titled Strange. One of the tracks from her second EP, Hangover, made it on BBC Radio 1 playlist. Charlotte OC recorded both her EPs with producer Tim Anderson in Los Angeles. Charlotte OC released her third EP in 2015, titled Burning, and it featured one of her most streamed singles, If My House Was Burning. Charlotte OC released her second album in 2017, titled Careless People, which included four of her very successful singles Darkest Hour, Blackout, Sheli, and Medicine Man. Charlotte OCs style of music is a mixture of soul, house and gospel. .
