BILLY IDOL

Classics never go out of style and Billy Idol is one of them. The British rock star, musician, singer, songwriter, and actor, has accomplished many of his goals in the music industry, nominated to the Grammy Awards three times as Best Male Rock Vocal Performance category, and winner of a MTV Video Music Award for Best Video from a Film in 1990, one year later the same song “Cradle of Love” also won an American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers award (ASCAP) in 1991 for Most Performed Songs from Motion Pictures category. Idol first found the spotlight in the 1970’s arising from the London punk rock scene as a member of the band Generation X. His first debut studio album in 1982 had an impressive commercial success, including music videos for singles such as, “Dancing with Myself” and “White Wedding” which led to the artist soon finding prominent coverage on MTV. Billy Idol’s second studio album, titled Rebel Yell and released in 1983, made huge waves in the musical industry, reaching double-platinum certification by the Recording industry Association of two million copies sales, only in the US, this album featured amazing hit singles like “Rebel Yell” and “Eyes Without a Face”. Worldwide and internationally well-known artist Billy Idol had published an autobiographical book titled after one of his songs “Dancing with Myself”: the bookhas reached The New York Times Bestseller list and was chosen by Rolling Stone as one of the 10 Best Music Books of 2014. After a recent international tour, the artist announced a residency show in Las Vegas presented by SiriusXM at Palms Casino Resort Pearl Theater. .
