Pioneer of the Latin Trap movement Anuel AA has been a fixture of the scene since 2011, but only recently released his debut album in summer 2018. The highly-anticipated ‘Real Hasta La Muerte’ reaffirmed Anuel’s place as a figurehead of the genre, achieving RIAA platinum certification thanks to its aggressive beats, unfiltered lyricism and inspired collaborations with fellow scene leaders Ozuna, Ñengo Flow, Zion, and Wisin. ‘Real Hasta La Muerte’ debuted at No. 51 on the Billboard 200 and claimed the No. 1 spot on the Top Latin Albums chart. Emmanuel Gazmey Santiago hails from the Puerto Rican city of Carolina, just east of San Juan.
