ANOUK

Dutch alternative rock artist Anouk is one of the most successful musicians in her native Netherlands, with a fanbase that stretches across Europe and beyond. Upon leaving the Rotterdam Music Academy, Anouk released her debut full-length, 1997’s Together Alone. Lead single ‘Nobody’s Wife’ shot up the charts across Europe and reached No. 1 in The Netherlands, swiftly going Platinum – an impressive feat for a fledgling artist releasing her debut single. The album produced several other hit singles, earning Anouk three coveted Edison Awards in 1998. The years that followed saw the singer’s profile grow, as she released several more records that explored new sides to her sound: Urban Solitude, Lost Tracks, and Graduated Fool ventured into hip-hop, funk and hard rock. The 00’s saw Anouk break further into the mainstream with Hotel New York, Who’s Your Momma and For Bitter of for Worse, records that all went double-Platinum and spawned several Top Ten singles. Since signing to Universal Music in 2013, Anouk has continued her hot streak, releasing best-selling albums that build on her already stellar reputation. 2018 saw the release of her seventeenth studio album, the first written in her native language: Wen D’r Maar Aan has received rave reviews and will be supported by sold-out European tours in 2019. .
