Alexis Spight is an award-winning gospel artist, recognised globally as one of the hottest trailblazers in the industry. An exceptional talent nominated for three Stellar Awards, she’s won an NAACP Image Award, made major television appearances and performed in some of the biggest arenas, churches and outdoor venues across the United States and beyond. Her international tours have taken her to the UK, Canada, The Bahamian Islands, Hawaii and more. Born in Buffalo, New York as the daughter of a pastor, Alexis grew up surrounded by religion and the music that accompanies it. She made her entrance into the music industry after placing highly in BET’s vocal talent competition series Sunday Best. Noticing her evident talents, Music World Gospel offered her a major-label deal, and she soon released her debut album L.O.L (Living Out Loud), hitting No 3 on the Bilboard Gospel Charts and peaking at No 1 months later. The record’s debut singles, ‘Imagine Me’ and ‘Steady’, remained on the charts for over 20 consecutive weeks, prompting international attention and acclaim from critics, fans and influential publications. Alexis released her sophomore album, Dear Diary, on Entertainment One Music in 2015: finding similar success, she reached No 2 on Billboard’s Gospel Chart and confirmed her status as one of most exciting and gifted artists working in American contemporary gospel. .
